Teaching Centers
UFPB's Teaching Centers are academic core sectors responsible for managing departments and smaller units directly related to the ultimate activities of teaching, research, and extension. The university is segmented into 16 Teaching Centers that offer more than 200 courses among undergraduate, graduate programs (stricto sensu and lato sensu), and medical internship programs in different modalities. Together, the Teaching Centers form a large and multidisciplinary knowledge spectrum materialized in shareable infrastructure, staff, and resources. Their capabilities can be viewed as a cloud of intersecting sets arranged into 8 domain fields as depicted in the schematic figure on this page.
The Teaching Centers are led by Directors and Vice-Directors nominated by the Rector for a four-year mandate. Each directorate is supported by a group of counselors, technical advisors and specialized administrative staff. Find below the list of our Teaching Centers separated per university campus along with their basic information.
