In order to secure the institution's harmony, functionality, and ordainment, the Higher Councils are the utmost fora for discussion of all kinds of subjects that affect directly the UFPB's policies, its administrative units, and conviviality among people who share ambients of the university. The Higher Councils embody deliberative, consultive, or technical features and are composed by members both from the academic community and society. University Council
Information:
- Acronym: CONSUNI
- Synopsis: maximum deliberative instance that decides on general matters concerning the university's policies.
Teaching, Research and Extension Council
Information:
- Acronym: CONSEPE
- Synopsis: deliberative instance that decides on matters concerning to teaching, research, and extension.
Trustee Council
Information:
- Acronym: CURADOR
- Synopsis: deliberative and fiscal instance that decides on matters concerning economy, finance, real estate assets and similar.
Social Council
Information:

- Synopsis: consulting instance that reverberates opinions of the society to support decisions issued by the other Councils.
