Actively moving toward innovation, UFPB is an open door for knowledge and technology transfer paradigms. Expert in innovation policies, intellectual property, business incubation, and win-win contracts with industries and the third-sector, our innovation and technology personnel is prepared to mediate fit-for-purpose solutions for challenging problems all over the technological or commercial readiness level (TRL/CRL), from in-lab applied research to viable prototypes to be launched by spin-offs and start-ups. UFPB offers a broad spectrum of opportunities for public or private corporations at competitive costs and conditions. For two years in a row (2018 and 2019), UFPB ranked 1st in the number of patents deposited in Brazil. In 2020, we ranked 3rd. Our scores are motivating facts that impel us to excellence. UFPB's policies for innovation and technology are managed by the Technological Innovation Agency.
